Priorities

Dedicated to building a solid and trust-worthy sustainable system which provides families access to the most up-to-date health, resource, and long-term care information.  Additionally, I am committed to working together with a team of diverse partners to develop a plan of action to aide women, men, boys, and girls as they recover and heal from the devastation of the Flint water crisis.

COMMUNITY. EDUCATION. FAMILY.

Positive growth.

My desire and willingness to see success in others is rooted in my personal story of growth,
strength, determination, while overcoming certain struggles and adversity. It was my supportive
community that gives me pause as I reflect on the woman that I am today. It was the caregivers,
family members, and a strong network of friends, and colleagues that caused my life experiences to be triumphant and transformative. This support was instrumental in transforming the lives and in restoring hope in men, women, boys, and girls.

As in the past, I will continue to work diligently to promote awareness, to improve quality of
life, and to create opportunities and access for families experiencing social and economic barriers. I remain heavily involved in the issues of fairness, equality, social justice, violence prevention, and longevity for today’s youth and families. My favorite quotes are, “Everybody is Somebody,” and “Get Involved and Make a Difference,” My guiding mantra is, “Change Begins
With Me.”
